Morning Coffee: Economic & Earnings Calendar for December 7, 2011

What’s Happening Today?

Bloomberg reported that Asian stocks were up in early trading on speculation that the meeting in brussels would move towards a solution that would avert ratings downgrade for euro zone country’s. I’m skeptical. Good luck with that.

I’m looking forward to Switzerland’s unemployment survey first thing in the morning and Australia’s labor force survey late in the evening as I add to my global labor force databases. This is going to be one long march to Friday’s summit meeting followed by news from Standard & Poors. A week from hell indeed.
