Initial Jobless Claims Bottoming Out Just Below 400K

The Department of Labor reported that in the week ending November 19th , the advance figure for weekly jobless claims was 393,000, a decrease of 2,000 from the previous weeks revised figure of 391,000. The 4-week moving average is now 394,250, a decrease of 3,250 from the previous week’s revised average of 397,500.

This is the third consecutive week of claims just under 400k. Claims are bottoming out now while employment gets a boost before they start moving higher early next year.
