Building Permits Rise, Housing Starts Flat in October

The U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development reported that building permits rise by 1.6 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 653,000. Housing starts were essentially flat, falling 0.3 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 628,000.
